Saturday, March 1, 2008, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
McCardell Bicentennial Hall, Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont

www.greenenergyexpo.biz

This exciting event will bring together hundreds of homeowners and business people for a great day of workshops, exhibits and demonstrations to provide all participants with many of the tools and resources to move toward a clean and green energy future. The Green Energy Expo builds on the prior success of Addison County Home and Garden Shows by creating a new type of forum where local businesses with renewable energy, green building and efficiency products and services can showcase their wares.

In addition to the exhibits, about 20 workshops have been identified so far. Workshops highlighting the use of renewable energy will be offered including solar, wind, small hydro, biomass and biofuels.

For more information on this exciting event, go to the Expo's Web site at: www.greenenergyexpo.biz .

August 22, 2006
Lyndon State College, Lyndonville, Vermont

On Tuesday, August 22, 2006, a one-day conference sponsored by the Vermont Council on Rural Development titled, "Local Power: Energy and Economic Development in Rural Vermont," was held at Lyndon State College, 1001 College Road in Lyndonville, Vermont.

Advances in renewable energy generation, development, and efficiency are occurring throughout the state. VCRD's Energy Summit brought together entrepreneurs, developers, policy leaders, and consumers to consider existing initiatives, and to share ideas on advancing Vermont's energy future. The conference consisted of panel discussions and presentations, and provided the opportunity for participants to contribute ideas to topic areas of their choice in work groups. The recommendations made in the work groups will provide input for the deliberations of the Vermont Rural Energy Council, a VCRD policy council.

The VBA's Executive Director, Netaka White and Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund's Deputy Director Ed Delhagen opened the discussion on "Transportation and Biofuels".

The final conference recommendations were designed to advance economic development and energy policy in Vermont.

June 8, 2006
Vermont Law School, S. Royalton, Vermont

On June 8, 2006 at the Vermont Law School, 200 participants convened for the 2nd annual Vermont Biodiesel Workshop. This daylong event featured a keynote presentation by Michael Dworkin; the Director of the VT Law School's Institute for Energy and the Environment and twenty discussions led by state and regional experts that focused attention on the different aspects of developing the Vermont biodiesel sector. The day's presentations were divided into three tracks so that participants could take in topics particularly suited to their field of interest. The three tracks were organized by distinct yet related market sectors; Fuel Users, Farmers and Producers and Fuel Suppliers.

Many (but not all) of the presentations/discussions were accompanied by PowerPoint and a number of presenters have forwarded their slides to the Vermont Biofuels Association, and these have been converted to PDF format.

Please see below for links to all PDF documents that we have received.
